Silhouette Optical introduces SPX Art Kids, a screwless, hingeless, rimless collection made of hypoallergenic, corrosion-resistant High Tech Titanium and the company’s proprietary SPX plastic. Adjustable nosepads and a flex zone in the temples provide optimum comfort and fit. The result is a light, durable, adjustable, maintenance-free frame that can handle the wear and tear of active children—even when the eyewear is constantly and not always gently handled. The frames are offered in seven styles and such fun colors as action green, candy pink, cherry red, coconut brown, cool black, ocean blue and rainbow purple. Eye sizes range from 40 mm to 48 mm with bridges of 16 mm, 17 mm and 19 mm. Temple lengths are 130 mm, 135 mm and 140 mm.

PHILOSOPHY:
“With the SPX Art Kids collection, parents are able to see their children’s faces without being obscured by big, chunky frames. Children feel as if they are not even wearing glasses and consider themselves equal to their peers, which is important for their growing self-esteem,” says Silhouette marketing director Kristen McLaughlin. “At Silhouette, we know how important it is to have optimum vision and we believe even our youngest customers deserve the best quality.”

MARKETING:
Merchandising materials include a six-place frame display, store window display, poster, banner, sales manual, consumer brochures and postcards. The tagline for the product launch is: “Life is an adventure. Let your child see it with SPX Art Kids.” Frames come with a zippered case.
