ATLANTA—SECO International is now accepting nominations for four awards to be presented at its House of Delegates meeting on Friday, March 6, 2009, during the annual SECO event here.

The awards are OD of the South, presented to a practicing optometrist and member of the Southern Council of Optometrists who has demonstrated a significant contribution to the optometric profession; Paraoptometric of the South, presented to a non-optometrist who has demonstrated a significant contribution to the optometric profession and who resides in one of the Southern Council states; and Young OD of the South, presented to an optometrist and Southern Council member who has been in practice less than 10 years and who has demonstrated a significant contribution to the optometric profession.

In addition, SECO’s Award of Merit goes to a non-optometrist residing in one of the Southern Council states who has demonstrated a significant contribution to the optometric profession.
