LAKE WORTH, Fla.—In a nod to the country’s current gasoline pricing woes, Vision Care Holdings’ 67-store Eyeglass World chain and its 31-location LASIK Vision Institute are offering customers a special gas rebate with the purchase of a new pair of eyeglasses or a LASIK procedure.

Eyeglass World customers who bring in their gas receipts will receive a credit of up to $75 towards the purchase of a new pair of eyeglasses; the LASIK Vision Institute is offering a credit of up to $100 toward the purchase of laser vision correction.

“We're trying to help our customers during this challenging economic climate,” said Chris Edwards, chief marketing officer for Vision Care Holdings. Edwards said the new offer will help “enable people to get the glasses or procedure they need at a price easier on their wallets.”
