FRANKLIN LAKES, N.J.— The Power Practice, the consulting firm founded by Gary Gerber, OD, has expanded its executive team to support the group’s expansion as well as to launch operations in the U.K., hiring three industry veterans to work with eyecare practitioners.

Paul Ferraro has been named vice president of operations and business development. Ferraro has spent nearly three decades as a successful sales account executive in the retail optical industry, the company said. His most recent position was with Bausch + Lomb, as a strategic account manager, who will work with The Power Practice to manage and coordinate future growth and development.

Rob Hogan, OD, has been named vice president of operations for the U.K. Hogan brings the experience of many operational, managerial and leadership roles in corporate optometry, ultimately managing and directing the training and development to some of the largest eyecare businesses in the U.K. Gerber said, “Rob’s unique experiences in corporate optometry have provided him with clear insights into the U.K. optical market and given him a passion to develop and empower individual optometrists to build successful and profitable practices.”

Carlos Navarro, has been named as client marketing advisor and will run The Power Practice’s newly launched, “Power Marketing Tune Up” program. Carlos is the president of FastOD.com, an optometry business education service and Reneux Healthcare Strategies, a marketing strategy consultancy. He has over 15 years of senior-level marketing experience with businesses ranging from start-up to $500 million.
