ODESSA, Fla.—Practical Systems, Inc. is releasing Sure Mount, a new type of blocking pad designed for all materials and coatings. The flexible pad reduces slippage across a broad range of coatings. Made especially for flexible blocks, Sure Mount performs equally well on hydrophobic and standard AR coatings, allowing labs to stock one blocking pad for all lenses, PSI reports.

Sure Mount pads are made of a thin, yet strong material that reduces flexing on the lens. Its high tack adhesive offers a secure hold that releases cleanly without removing progressive markings or leaving residue. It bonds quickly, so there is no need to wait before edging, according to PSI. Sure Mount blocking pads come in five configurations.  ■
