Eyebobs designs stylish readers for people who demand distinctive, high-quality glasses with an irreverent attitude. Apparently, Katie Couric is one of those people. She has worn Eyebobs readers on the “CBS Evening News,” as well as on her appearance on “Glee.” Now the hard-hitting journalist is collaborating with the company she loves so much and is introducing an exclusive, limited-edition frame called Katie’s Close Up. The debut of the Katie’s Close Up style corresponds with the launch of Couric’s book, “The Best Advice I Ever Got: Lessons from Extraordinary Lives” and proceeds from the book sales are being donated by Couric to Scholarship America. Eyebobs has decided to join her in her efforts and will also make a donation to Scholarship America, an organization that mobilizes support to make post-secondary education possible for all students…

These days high-profile designers have become stars in their own right. Michael Bastian, designer of Gant and his own eponymous menswear collection, has collaborated with Randolph Engineering on the Michael Bastian for RE Signature Series. “I have been a huge fan of Randolph Engineering sunglasses since I first discovered them in college,” said Bastian. “Since then, we’ve used them in every runway show and lookbook shoot since I started my designer line five years ago. So when my friends at Randolph approached me with the idea of a possible collaboration, I of course jumped at the opportunity. I feel their sunglasses are the real deal- perfectly made, perfectly masculine, and timeless.” The line boasts 15 new models that combine new twists on classic styles and a dazzling array of color, that which is unprecedented to Randolph Engineering’s previous product line…

Country music superstar Kenny Chesney has partnered with Costa to design his first line of signature sunglasses. The Kenny Chesney Limited Edition Costas are on sale now at www.costadelmar.com and will also be sold at each stop of Chesney’s “Goin’ Coastal” North American concert tour, which runs Mar. 17 to Aug. 28. Chesney selected five Costa styles for his limited edition line and only a limited number are being produced. Each style – Hammerhead, Caballito, Rincon, Howler and Little Harbor – feature unique hand drawn artwork etched inside the temples, along with Chesney’s signature. Proceeds of the collection will benefit ocean conservation group Coastal Conservation Association (CCA). “The relationship with Costa, and what they stand for, goes hand in hand with the music that I make,” said Chesney. “I’m proud to partner with Costa to design a line of signature sunglasses that will help support ocean conservation.”
