1  DE RIGO VISION has signed an agreement to acquire the full ownership of Rodenstock's eyewear division. The transaction will be completed toward the end of the second quarter of 2023.

2  ESSILORLUXOTTICA and Swarovski have signed an exclusive license agreement for the design, manufacture and worldwide distribution of Swarovski Eyewear, effective until Dec. 31, 2028.

3  THE ACCESSORIES COUNCIL announced the winners of its fourth annual Design Excellence Awards. Safilo’s Carolina Herrera style 0080 won in the “Optical” category, and American Optical’s Oxford frame was the winner in the “Sunwear” category.

4  COSTA has donated $50,000 to its longtime conservation partner Captains for Clean Water for its Hurricane Ian Emergency Disaster Relief Fund. The donation will go toward providing supplies and operational support to the ongoing relief and recovery efforts, including support for the local fishing community.

5  MARCHON EYEWEAR has appointed Gabriele Bonapersona as chief brand officer and Gabriele Cappelli as chief product officer. Both will become members of Marchon Eyewear’s global management leadership team.

6  ESSILORLUXOTTICA and Brunello Cucinelli Casa di Moda have signed an exclusive 10 year license agreement for the design, manufacture and distribution of eyewear under the Brunello Cucinelli brand, effective Jan. 1, 2023.

7  SDC TECHNOLOGIES has acquired Coburn Technologies, an innovator in the production, service and support of precision ophthalmic lens processing systems and instruments for the eyecare industry.

8  MARCOLIN has appointed Clara Magnanini as group communication director, effective immediately. Magnanini will take on the lead of the newly established communications department, with responsibility for corporate communication, marketing and digital communication, and events.
