With more and more runners lacing up their shoes and heading outdoors for runs, the need for proper sunwear is more vital than ever. OAKLEY introduces sunglass style Corridor, the newest essential for every runner’s gear. Designed specifically for runners to focus solely on the run, the new style hits different than other performance sunglasses—it’s built to stay put on the face while you’re putting in the miles.

To help understand their individual thoughts and needs, Oakley met with different types of runners at every level. They wanted a running sunglass that was different—a style made for everyday running that bridges the gap between serious race day sunglasses and those they wear in daily life. The result was the birth of Corridor.

“For decades, Oakley has been designing the best performance eyewear on planet Earth, but never in our history have we created something special with runners and for runners. And for that, runners of this world, we apologize,” says Caio Amato, Oakley global head of marketing. “We spent countless hours discussing with runners, and then we built on almost half a century of innovation to develop new sunglasses that, we hope, soon all runners will call their new running essentials. It was incredibly fun outsmarting the sun together with that community.”

Built to support runners and the crews by their side, Corridor is designed to look as good as it functions. Packed with multiple features, the style is constructed with durable, lightweight O Matter frame material and offers an Unobtainium sport ligature nosepad to help reduce bouncing and Unobtainium earsocks for a no-slip grip. The three-point-fit frame geometry is designed to rest on the nose and top of ears for a comfortable fit with less distractions. The lenses are powered with Oakley’s Prizm technology designed to enhance detail and improve performance, providing vibrance, contrast and color tuning for specific environments and different light conditions, and is also available in Prizm Low Light lenses, ideal for sunrise and sunset runs for its enhanced depth perception specifically in low light conditions. With its semi-rimless shield design, Corridor features a casual lens shape and brow design to provide a modern yet retro feel. A variety of bright frame and lens colors and combinations are offered for standout style on the streets.
