CAROLINA HERRERA celebrated the arrival of summer presenting its Resort 2024 Eyewear Capsule from Safilo. Inspired by the warm colors of the sunset in Rio de Janeiro, the new eyewear collection was introduced at the fashion house’s runway show held on location in the beloved Brazilian city.

Created for the confident and empowered woman, the new eyewear styles reflect the essence of the Carolina Herrera brand. The collection embodies a feminine and joyful aesthetic with sunglass frames characterized by glamorous oversized silhouettes in square, butterfly and rounded shapes. Design details include sophisticated embellishments such as the CH monogram, sparkling crystals and signature pearl accents, offered in classic black and subtle blush hues, coinciding with the launch of the brand’s Good Girl Blush fragrance. The new sunglasses provide a captivating complement to the apparel offered in the Resort 2024 collection. Creative director Wes Gordon channels a spirit of relaxed confidence in the new collection with sensual and ultramodern pieces that blur the lines between casual and dressy, and daytime and evening.

While the Rio sunset was the designer’s intended inspiration and backdrop to present his Resort 2024 fashion show, Mother Nature and Brazil’s tropical climate had other plans, becoming the unexpected muses for the show. As guests arrived to sip on sunset cocktails, a rainstorm suddenly poured down delaying the show’s start. Guests were ushered in to the covered afterparty venue for shelter. With what seemed like no end in sight to the rainstorm, the show ultimately went on at the models’ and crew’s insistence, and the models strutted down the runway in the pouring rain, some barefoot and holding their shoes, with sunglasses on face. The night didn’t go as planned, but the models’ and crew’s rallying cheers and optimistic energy generated an unforgettable evening of poetic drama.
