GLAM4GOOD, in partnership with NINE WEST EYEWEAR, inspired over 150 students at New York City’s High School of Fashion Industries during their #VISIONQUEST event. With the main focus on preparation for the future, students were able to interact in a curriculum GLAM4GOOD has built around self-esteem, confidence, fearlessness and the power of presentation to promote entrepreneurship.

The event included an engaging panel of fashion industry visionaries including style expert Stacy London; fashion guru Ty Hunter; creative director of Judith Leiber and founder of Dee Ocleppo, Dee Ocleppo Hilfiger; creative director of O, The Oprah Magazine Adam Glassman; and Mara Hoffman, founder, president and creative director of Mara Hoffman. GLAM4GOOD’s founder and CEO Mary Alice Stephenson played the role of moderator.

A #SHOPPINGSPREE4FREE was held for the students, garnering support from influential brands as well as donations from the closets of model Hailey Baldwin and actress Frieda Pinto. These charitable donations will aid students in putting their best professional foot forward by providing new workwear, sportswear, accessories and beauty/hygiene essentials.

Nine West Eyewear made the shopping spree extra special by gifting optical frames to the students from its first-ever optical offering from MARCHON EYEWEAR specifically designed for pre-teen and teen girls. Additionally, the brand enlisted the help of VSP Global’s “Eyes of Hope” Mobile Eyecare Program to provide accessible and free eye exams as well as eyewear fittings for prescription eyeglasses. The eye exams were provided by local VSP network eye doctors, and most prescriptions were fulfilled on site.

“GLAM4GOOD is honored to empower these inspiring students at the High School of Fashion Industries with a thoughtful discussion on how to activate their dreams and a well-deserved wardrobe refresh to help them achieve their goals,” says Stephenson. “We know this event provided them with the tools and inspiration to seize their future.”
