Music and eyewear converge in harmony with a partnership announced recently by Salvatore Ferragamo and MARCHON EYEWEAR. The brand has appointed Chinese actress, musician and cellist Ouyang Nana as its new eyewear global ambassador.

A precocious virtuoso and gifted cellist, Nana was awarded a scholarship at the age of 13 to attend the prestigious Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia. In 2014, she made her acting debut on the big screen in the film “Beijing Love Story,” leading to a successful film career. Her talent coupled with her charismatic personality and unique style has earned her a fast growing fan base, solidifying her as an icon for her generation.

Nana’s affinity for art in all its forms and her passionate pursuit of excellence are in ideal alignment with Ferragamo’s spirit. Their collaboration commenced in 2017, with the artist’s attendance at the fall/winter 2018 fashion show in Milan. The new appointment as eyewear ambassador features Nana in the brand’s fall/winter 2021 eyewear campaign. The new eyewear collection highlights a devotion to innovative craftsmanship, interpreting the maison’s vision of beauty and dreams through intriguing shapes and pioneering materials, with unexpected combinations of frame styles enriched with sophisticated details and finishes.

“I am thrilled to collaborate with Salvatore Ferragamo and to be their eyewear ambassador. It is a great honor today to inaugurate this further chapter with the brand, and I hope to embrace new horizons by representing the eyewear line,” says Nana. Ferragamo’s forward looking vision in addressing younger generations possessing passion and consciousness brings a welcoming freshness to the brand’s outlook. With the addition of Ouyang Nana to its team of ambassadors including Jelly Lin and SEULGI, the brand has built a talented stable of women representing the same enthusiasm and passion for creativity rooted in Ferragamo’s DNA, resulting in an ideal combination of contemporary pop culture’s luxury and vitality.
