Optimate launches its NBA Collection targeted to teens and young adults between the ages of 15 and 25. The new line contains 18 ophthalmic frames—six women’s, five men’s and seven unisex styles—in casual, modern variations on rectangles and ovals. Materials include metal, zyl and metal/zyl combinations. Each frame comes in four colors, ranging from gray, gold, silver, black, brown and burgundy to more vivacious shades of pink, purple and light blue. Eye sizes are 48mm to 53mm. Tasteful details such as abstract patterns in contrasting and complementary colors, open temple work, filigree, glitter and crystals are incorporated into the frames.
