Featuring a globally patented segmented hinge and cable system, Rem Eyewear introduces SPINE Eyewear. Each micro-injected metal (MiM) hinge flexes in all directions, including inward, holding the frames in place on your head while eliminating the need to constantly adjust the eyewear. Featuring eight optical styles (previewed here) and four sun styles (featured in the February issue), the frames adjust to any head shape without the use of screws. When lifted off the face, the temples shut automatically, greatly reducing breakage. There are five SPINE vertebrae constantly working together to create a 90-degree hinge opening, creating a nonexistent feel for the wearer. A global collaboration with Mondottica and Centennial Optical, SPINE features classic shapes that perfectly combine technology and style together.

INSIGHT
The spun wire cable is the main component of the SPINE hinge. The dual springs found here provide the pulling power of each frame and enable the unique auto-shut mechanism.
