Highly sought-after Swiss fashion label Marc Stone joins forces with Swiss Eyewear Group to present the Marc Stone Eyewear collection. “My design philosophy is based on a holistic concept influenced by contemporary art, journeys, music, theater and film,” says Marco Steiner, owner, head designer and CEO of Marc Stone. “Throughout the collection we have utilized design elements from my apparel creations as well as from the Marc Stone logo. For example, the temple tip design was inspired by a unique seam design in my dress pants collection and the studs on the acetate collection have their origin in the Marc Stone logo.” Combining the classic aesthetics of high-fashion with the subtle street influence of the Marc Stone designer collections, this range consists of striking wood finishes on acetate frames and highly wearable shapes that include retro-inspired clip-ons in addition to contemporary stainless steel metal frames with discrete side shields and slightly heavier rims for an extra bold presence. The majority of the collection is crafted in acetate, featuring a high quality flex hinge for extra comfort. The design team combined acetate with the high quality Swiss TR 90 material, as well as designed in stainless steel the metal part of the collection. The intriguing combination of materials and design elements gives this collection its minimal yet futuristic appeal.

“I have always dreamed about transferring my design philosophy to sunglasses and complementing the Marc Stone clothing line with perfectly matched sunglasses,” says Marco Steiner, head designer and CEO of Marc Stone. “Many fashion labels just license their brand for accessories and let the other company and their designers commercialize the brand in that category. My desire was to form a true partnership with a company where I could merge my design ideas and philosophy with the eyewear industry know-how of the partner company.
