Tura launches its Legends Collection, a series of retro-inspired frames that pays homage to the brand’s rich history. These ophthalmic frames and sunglasses put a fresh spin on iconic designs from the golden age of glam. Revamped from Tura’s archives with a modern edge, the new styles feature rich enamels, Swarovski crystals, gold- and silver-leaf inlays and jewelry-inspired temples created by hand-set applications. Included are 10 frames with three limited edition designs, which will be individually numbered. All frames are made in Europe or Japan. As part of the Legends Collection launch, Tura is offering a limited edition, vintage-inspired bangle and pendant with 18-karat gold-plating and jet black or aquamarine Swarovski crystals.

PHILOSOPHY: The Legends Collection reminds our customers of Tura’s fashion eyewear heritage, and it further reinforces our position as a leader in the category,” says Jennifer Coppell, vice president of brand management. “While the frames are vintage-inspired, each one is updated to suit the lifestyle of today’s Tura woman.”

MARKETING:  Merchandising materials capture Tura’s desire to create contemporary legends from the company’s archives by showcasing vintage frames as inspiration for the new designs. The Legends Collection catalogue revisits all of the inspirational vintage pieces and highlights the new designs under a Hollywood theme of jeweled details, red carpet wow, star-studded glam, crystalized CatEye drama, iconic colorblocking and cinematic sunwear. A bifold countercard leveraging the inspirational pieces used to design the contemporary collection is also available.
