Teka Eyewear presents its wood collection of eyewear, which currently consists of nine styles, four of which are new for 2012. Frame fronts are constructed from such materials as acetate and stainless steel, and the temples are fabricated from exotic woods including bubinga, zebra, maple, asam and ebony imported from around the world. Each style is offered in two to seven colors with an emphasis on the varying grains and natural tones of the wood. Special feature include the architectural design of the mounting hardware and temples, inlays in the wood and treated woods.

INSIGHT
“Teka’s mission since it began in 2007 has been to find a niche that isn’t being filled and fill it. “We do a lot of work with exotic materials such as wood, horn and aluminum as well as silicone, TR90, acetate and traditional metals. The exotic materials are great for eyewear connoisseurs and those who love one-of-a-kind product. We also specialize in a variety of hinges that incorporate fashion and function into the frame designs,” Tom Kramer, Teka founder, explains.
