Silhouette Optical launches its Sun 2012 Collection. A combination of visionary rimless design with optimum function, the collection consists of 16 styles in two lines: Lifestyle by Design and Action by Design. Targeted to men and women, the frames range from shield and wrap styles to classic double-bridge, masculine rectangles and extravagant, oversized feminine shapes. Frames are made of titanium and Silhouette’s proprietary SPX, and lenses are polyamide or polycarbonate in a variety of solid and gradient tints. Some styles have polarized lenses. Design details include leather inserts and split and textured temples.

“The demands of sunglass wearers are becoming more and more individual. Our challenge is to anticipate and recognize this. With the new 2012 sunglass collection we are not following trends but making statements,” says Silhouette’s co-owner and chairman Arnold Schmied, who was closely involved in the development of the new line.
