Silhouette Optical launches its Crystal Sunglass Collection for women. Handcrafted in Austria with Austrian crystals, the collection consists of three sun styles. Four ophthalmic frames were previewed here in April. The frames are made of high-tech titanium and SPX and feature Silhouette’s rimless, hingeless, screwless aesthetic. The sunglass collection consists of three looks that suit tastes ranging from conservative to extravagant. Sparkling Icon is highlighted with a floating 3 mm xilion rose Swarovski crystal set into the temple design. Dreamwings has a dramatic curved, flowing temple sparkling with crystals. The temples on Limelight dazzle with 300 crystals for the ultimate in feminine luxury. The lenses, which have a water-repellent coating, offer 100 percent UVA, UVB and UVC protection and a wraparound design for non-glare vision.

Merchandising materials include a crystal display with imagery featuring supermodels Helena Christensen and Nadja Auermann, poster, countercard, window deco set and sales manual. Frames are presented in a ribbon-printed package containing an eyeglass case, cleaning cloth, certificate of authenticity, warranty and care instructions.
