Silhouette: SPX Folding Rimless Collection

CITY CHIC MEETS SUBURBAN COMFORT

Silhouette Optical introduces SPX Folding Rimless, a synthetic rimless collection. The line, which contains eight styles, was designed as a more edgy, urban companion to the company’s SPX Motion collection released earlier this year. The minimal styles of the new frames feature straighter, more solid temple lines and sleek titanium bridges and endpieces. Temples are made with SPX—Silhouette Polyamide X with “X” the secret ingredient closely guarded by the company. The material allows for luminous, lasting color effects and a high degree of flexibility and shape retention. All styles incorporate screwless hinges, TwinLock pressure mountings and soft EmPad nosepads and are offered in eight colors and lens shapes. Brown polarized clip-ons are available.

PHILOSOPHY: “SPX Folding Rimless is a welcome addition to our synthetic rimless offerings. It gives our customers the widest possible range of choices for their patients and addresses the niche of consumers looking for quality, artistic rimless expressions,” says Diana Marino, Silhouette U.S. brand manager.

MARKETING: The collection comes with eight AR-coated demonstration models and one clip-on, all pre-merchandized in a kit box that doubles as a display. A countercard and merchandising instructions are included in the package.

INSIGHT
The SPX Motion Collection, introduced earlier this year, embodies the concept of contemporary, stylish charm. The design is pure minimalism, featuring temples with a straight-edge top line and subtle, ergonomic bend that gently hugs the wearer’s contours and are held in place by the material’s memory.
