MARCOLIN AND PUCCI SIGN LICENSING AGREEMENT
Marcolin Group and Emilio Pucci have signed a worldwide, exclusive license agreement for the design, production and
distribution of sunglasses and eyeglasses for Emilio Pucci. The license, effective January 2015 with the launch of the first sunglass collection, is for five years and is renewable. The eyewear will speak to an extremely feminine woman, embracing radiant and refined aesthetics and a luxury lifestyle in which creativity and minimalism come together.

DIANE VON FURSTENBERG AND GOOGLE JOIN FORCES

Fashion designer Diane von Furstenberg brings her high-profile brand into the realm of wearable technology by partnering with Google. The partnership was announced June 3 with the launch of the DVF/Made for Glass collection, a limited edition series of frames and shades that debuted at the designer’s Resort 2015 presentation in New York. The sale of the DVF Made for Glass product to consumers, which began June 23, is online only on both the Glass and Net-a-Porter sites. The development of the DVF/Made for Glass collection also includes a close partnership between Diane von Furstenberg and Marchon Eyewear, the brand’s longtime licensing partner. 

VANNI PARTNERS WITH MATCH
VANNI, an Italian eyewear designer brand, signs a partnership agreement for U.S. distribution with Design Gallery, a new division of Match Eyewear. Design Gallery, which was created to give Match the opportunity to expand its reach to the boutique end of the industry, will also work with VANNI on developing limited editions for the U.S. market. 

KENMARK LAUNCHES ORIGINAL PENGUIN YOUTH

M. GIANNI EYEWEAR DEBUTS

Morgan Gianni, CEO of Fashion Optical, a high-volume luxury optical shop in Dallas, has designed m. Gianni, a limited edition luxury sunglass collection comprised of 17 men’s, women’s and unisex sunglasses. The frames are made of hand-layered Mazzucchelli acetate in an array of contemporary patterns and colors. Each style is assigned its own certificate of authenticity.
