Just another brick in the wall… hardly! Fendi held a fashion show on the 4,000-year-old Great Wall of China. The catwalk, perhaps the largest ever at 1,500 miles, was constructed on a raised platform on a restored portion of the Wall making quite a memorable debut for the Italian brand in the world’s largest growth market. With Euro-Trance music playing in the background, the show featured a colorful mix of furs and silks. At the end, bows were taken by creative director Silvia Fendi and, of course, designer Karl Lagerfeld (shown below with Marchon’s Al Berg). Our only complaint—where were all those fabulous Fendi frames?
