CRUISE THROUGH SUMMER WITH KODAK LENS PROMO
Signet Armorlite, maker of Kodak lenses, has launched a new “Cruise Through Summer” national promotion for Kodak progressive lenses. From April 1 through Aug. 31, eyecare professionals are invited to participate for a chance to win a cruise vacation (or cash prize) and earn gift card rewards based on Kodak progressive lens purchases from participating laboratories.

VISION-EASE TO HOST VELA FORUM 2013
Vision-Ease Lens (VEL) will host the 2013 VELA Forum on Aug. 25 to 29, 2013, offering customers sales and marketing training and a chance to learn about industry trends and strategy to build momentum in their businesses. Held at Secrets Resort - St. James & Wild Orchid, in Montego Bay, Jamaica, customers can qualify to attend through working with their VEL sales representative to set and meet growth goals. Open to Latin America, U.S. and Canadian customers, VEL expects more than 120 people from more than 20 countries to attend.

The four-day event integrates industry leaders, and includes sales and marketing training to help customers develop and grow their businesses. In addition, the event provides opportunities for face-to-face networking between customers, retailers and VEL leadership, and will feature renowned industry speakers, including Victor Antonio, an author and trainer who captivated attendees at the 2012 forum.

ESSILOR AND EASTMAN KODAK RENEW KODAK LENS LICENSE
Essilor International recently announced that its Signet Armorlite subsidiary has renewed its Kodak lens manufacturing and distribution license with Eastman Kodak. The $30.5 million investment will allow Signet Armorlite, the company’s subsidiaries and some of its partners to use the Kodak brand throughout the world until 2029, Essilor says.
