Donning her very first Fendi piece recently sparked an unexpected style revival, stirring Ruth Tekeste, the CE department’s senior customer service maven, to revamp what she calls her previous “cautious” leanings. Ruth is returning to a frenzy of vibrant hues and courageous accessories to concoct ensembles that blend the classic uptown- chic looks she feels comfortable in while embracing what’s on the cutting edge of trending. Her muse was the famed fashion house’s sun style FS5225 from Marchon Eyewear with unmistakable mirror-image Fendi “Fs” flanking celeb-sized square lenses—but the deep maroon frames are just the start of the story. Ruth is catching new inspiration as it happens, spending time on the streets of Soho, home to 20/20
headquarters, a spirited and dynamic neighborhood with a distinct DNA of urban ambiance and high fashion. Models, actors and everyday people strut atop the cobblestones between storied storefronts born from 19th century tenements and 1970s artists’ lofts which have made way for designer boutiques and A-list restaurants. With her first Fendis on face, Ruth is looking forward to reawakening to the inspiration around her, from sunwear to Soho.
