L’AMY SIGNS SPERRY TOP-SIDER
L’Amy America has entered into a multiyear licensing agreement with Sperry Top-Sider to market and distribute sunglasses and ophthalmic frames for both men and women under the Sperry Top-Sider brand name in the U.S. and Canada. The collection is expected to launch in 2013.

MCGEE AND BADGLEY MISCHKA ANNOUNCE LICENSING AGREEMENT

The McGee Group and Badgley Mischka have signed a licensing agreement for the exclusive global design, manufacture and distribution of Badgley Mischka branded eyewear and sunwear. With a planned launch of January 2013, the new Badgley Mischka eyewear collections from McGee will be distributed in the U.S. and international markets.

EYEKING AND USA FOOTBALL ANNOUNCE PARTNERSHIP

USA Football has announced that Eyeking, the official licensee of Under Armour Performance Eyewear, is the official sunglass provider for U.S. National Team football coaches. Eyeking will outfit U.S. National Team coaches and U.S. National Team Trials clinicians with Under Armour Performance Eyewear through 2014. The eyewear will also be made available to USA Football members, who reside in all 50 states and Washington, D.C.

Symmetry Eyewear releases Tenny Rei, a new 14-style collection of frames featuring retro designs and fashion-forward colors.

EYENAVISION LAUNCHES PHYZICS EYEWEAR
Eyenavision launches its first eyeglass frame line Phyzics, which is based on a patent for screwless magnetic eyewear recently issued to the company. Targeted to upscale consumers in search of distinctive, minimalist eyewear, Phyzics is a rimless design constructed from a titanium alloy. Temples are attached utilizing a magnetic hinge that breaks away when pressure is applied, thereby avoiding frame breakage.

FRIEZEFRAMES INTROS SIX
Friezeframes launches the Six Collection consisting of six cateye and geek styles, each available in three to five color options. Several of the styles are embellished with Swarovski crystals. Most of the frames are also available with polarized UV lenses.

L’AMY AMERICA RENEWS WITH COLUMBIA
L’Amy America extends its worldwide licensing agreement with Columbia, the flagship brand of Portland, Ore.-based Columbia Sportswear Company. According to L’Amy, the multiyear extension builds upon the companies’ eight-year licensing relationship and reflects the shared commitment to expanding Columbia Sportswear’s eyewear business.
