It was a great Winter Olympics for Rudy Project. At the games in Vancouver, Rudy athletes took home a total of 18 medals. Biathlon queen Anastazia Kuzmina of Slovenia won the gold in the Women’s Biathlon Sprint 7.5 km and the silver in the Biathlon Pursuit 10km. German cross-country skier Claudia Nystad won a gold in the Ladies’ Team Sprint Free and a silver in the Ladies’ 4x5 km Relay Classic/Free. Cross-country skier Johan Olsson of Sweden took home three medals—a gold in the Men’s 4x10 km Relay Classic/Free and two bronze medals, one in the Men’s 30 km Pursuit and another in Men’s 50 km Mass Start Classic.

“Vancouver 2010 has been a fantastic record of achievement,” says marketing director Simone Barbazza. “We are proud to have been a part of the Olympic dream of athletes from 15 countries including Germany, Finland, Sweden, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Spain and, of course, Italy.”

Among the champions that did not officially receive a medal is the Rudy Project eyewear used in competition. As part of the special trademark yellow fluo eyewear designed for Vancouver, the Genetyk and Noyz models were outstanding ambassadors of the brand.
