distribution agreement with
Optixx, a progressive lens
company based in Lucerne,
Switzerland. With the portfolio
of progressive designs
from Optixx, Vision-Ease is
able to offer new, traditionally
surfaced progressive
lenses and direct-surfaced
progressives to its customers.
Younger Offers Drivewear On-hold Messages
“Do you spend a lot of time driving? You need Drivewear!” That’s how
a new on-hold message for Younger Optics’ Drivewear lenses
begins. Younger is offering two messages, one tailored for the optical
retailer and the other for the wholesale optical lab. Both messages are
approximately 22 seconds long and available for free download
through the Drivewear web site, www.drivewearlens.com.
Transitions Launches “Spin & Win” Promo
Building on the success of last year’s Trusted Worldwide marketing
program, Transitions Optical has rolled out a similar national promotion
for 2007 with a new twist—and theme—“Spin & Win.” From
March 1 through October 31, patients who register their Transitions
lenses using a certificate of authenticity will earn the chance to “spin”
a wheel to win a variety of instant prizes, and will automatically be
entered into a grand prize drawing. Additionally, each time an ECP
location or a customer registers for the promotion, a donation will be
made to a charity supported by the Transitions Healthy Sight for Life
Fund. For 2007, Prevent Blindness America will be the beneficiary.
ECPs can register online at www.trustedworldwide.com, or through
Transitions Optical Customer Service at (800) 848-1506. Each ECP
will receive a registration kit that includes a program brochure, a
quick reference guide and a point-of-sale tool to advertise the
