Release Date: April 22, 2020

Expiration Date: Date: December 31, 2022

Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this course you should understand:

  1. The features and benefits of the proprietary lens technology Prizm and how it revolutionizes the way wearers perceive contrast, detail, and depth perception.
  2. Understand the science behind Prizm, including how our eyes see color and how scientific tools such as a Spectrometer are used to identify the proprietary mix of dies used by Oakley engineers.
  3. Understand the different Prizm lens tints and how they are engineered to intensify the vital colors for specific environments/sports and reduce/separate the colors that take away from overall clarity.

Course Description:

In this course, you will learn how Oakley’s Prizm Lens technology helps improve performance and safety by providing ultra-precise color tuning, designed for specific environments.

Ordinary sunglass lenses make everything darker, which results in dull colors and reduced contrast. Unlike ordinary lenses, Prizm doesn’t just darken all colors. By fine- tuning colors where the eye is most sensitive to detail, Prizm lenses reveal details that would typically be missed by the naked eye. Whether on the mountain, road, water, field, or course, Prizm lenses allow wearers to see details more clearly, resulting in an enhanced experience.

Each Prizm lens tint is fine-tuned for a specific environment. Through the filtering of different wavelengths of light, Prizm sharpens visual perception, enhances color recognition, and sharpens details, allowing athletes to see more, react faster, and perform better.
