In addition to being one of the leading sponsors of the exhibition, Ilori hosted a Pop-Up boutique at the event and will be taking Steele on tour to celebrate the publishing of the book and the 6-month exhibit.

“We are always following the emerging trends and started noticing the rise of gothic influences in fashion about six months ago and started to work on curating a special collection for the stores,” Michael Hanson, vice president and general manger for Ilori told VM at the event. “When we heard about Valerie and the FIT exhibit we knew it was a great fit.”
Steele will also make appearances at Ilori boutiques in Los Angeles on Robertson Blvd. and in Toronto during the month of September to display the types of gothic fashions found in the exhibition. ■
