“We are thrilled to work with Tretorn” said Alessandro Lanaro, president and CEO of Modo. “Tretorn and Modo share a preference for clean, trendy and understated style. With Tretorn, we are looking forward to creating a new niche in the eyewear market.”

Tretorn, a wholly owned subsidiary of Puma AG, has its headquarters located in Helsingborg, Sweden and was founded in 1891. It is one of the leading brands for outdoor products in Scandinavia, as well as the 3rd largest brand in Europe for tennis balls. Tretorn also recently launched into men’s apparel and opened its first Tretorn Shop this past November.

The Glasogon eyewear collection from Modo, named after the Swedish word for eyewear, is composed of 16 ophthalmic and 12 sunglass styles, available in four colors each. The selection includes plastic and/or metal options. Subtle, clean and inviting designs incorporate a fun color palette. An innovative spring hinge, engineered exclusively by Modo, is featured and is laid out to represent elements of the Swedish flag, the inspiration of the Tretorn logo.

Packaging and in store displays were also given special attention and take a fresh, stylish and functional direction. The eyewear case is a recyclable paper cylinder tube, lined in blue or yellow fabric to signify the Swedish flag. Flexible merchandising and POP options for Tretorn include in store materials ranging from logo plaques to counter cards.

The Glasogon eyewear collection from Tretorn and Modo is priced to the dispenser between $58 to $62 for both optical and sun styles.
