NORWALK, Conn.— Held from Thursday, Oct. 2 through Monday, Oct. 6, this year, International Vision Expo West, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary, is offering eyecare professionals over $125,000 worth of new programs and incentives.

“International Vision Expo West 2008 will be unlike any other before,” said Tom Loughran, event director for International Vision Expo. “Along with our new day pattern, we are able to offer eyecare professionals exciting new programs that make attending the show beneficial both professionally and personally.”

All ECPs attending the Expo on Sunday, Oct. 5 will be eligible to win hourly prizes. “Super Sunday” prizes include Apple iPhones or iTouches, show floor shopping sprees, trips for two to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, the Masters and the Super Bowl, or the grand prize of a two-year lease on a Toyota Prius with one year of gas. One hundred half-price tickets to Cher’s final performance at Caesar’s Palace that evening will also be available during the online registration on a first-come, first-served basis.

International Vision Expo has also unveiled a new “Travel Ease” program, which will feature complimentary shuttle service from Los Angeles to Las Vegas on Friday, Oct. 3 and Saturday, Oct. 4, returning on Sunday, Oct. 5. In addition, free shuttles to the Las Vegas McCarran International Airport will be available Sunday and Monday. For attendees headed to the airport, the show will reimburse the cost of Bags-to-Go, a service which prints boarding passes, checks bags on-site at the show and then delivers them to the airport.

International Vision Expo has also extended its education offerings with “Free CE Monday” on Oct. 6, with four hours of free continuing education for ophthalmologists, optometrists, opticians, paraoptometrics and staff.
