LOUISVILLE, Ky.--The Kenmark Group appointed David Duralde to the newly created position of vice president of creative development.

"He is regarded as one of the top designers in the industry and we anticipate he will play a key role in further developing our brands with the product design and marketing teams at Kenmark."

Duralde will work closely with the product design, product development and marketing departments. His new role will consist of working with current designers, Mary Sanders, vice president of product and merchandising, and Jason Wehlage, product design. In his new position, he will focus not only on designing but also on sales, brand development and relationship building with Kenmark's licensors.

Prior to Duralde's most recent post which was director of product design for Safilo USA, he had been the director of product design at Kenmark. At Kenmark, Duralde was responsible for designing product and POP materials in each of Kenmark's collections. He was also instrumental in the successful launches of both Vera Wang and Thalia Eyewear collections.
