NEW YORK--When asked in the May VM Live Poll “Compared to five years ago, which lens products are your customers more informed about?” one-third of the respondents (34 percent) indicated “anti-reflective lenses.”

Another 23 percent cited their customers were more knowledgeable about “progressive lenses,” while 19 percent indicated “polarized lenses.”

Thirteen percent of the poll’s respondents said customers were more informed about “thin and light lenses,” while 11 percent cited “photochromic lenses.”

The new VM Live Poll is up and running, and asks readers, “How is the on-going consolidation of the optical industry among retailers, wholesalers and suppliers affecting the quality of eyecare products and services?” The poll is located at the bottom of the Vision Monday homepage at www.visionmonday.com.
