INDIANAPOLIS--The National Association of Vision Care Plans (NAVCP) has scheduled its third-annual managed-vision conference for April 20 to 21, 2006.

The event, to be held at the Fort Lauderdale Marina Marriott in Fort Lauderdale, Fla., will offer information on trends in managed vision care and on the eyecare/eyewear industry overall.

NAVCP members are also expected to hear an update on the organization’s new online legislative monitoring program, launched at the 2005 annual conference in Arizona. This year's conference attracted an attendance of about 75 people from both managed-vision organizations and retail optical chains active in managed care.

NAVCP members are also expected to elect a new board and officers during the group’s upcoming annual meeting, on the eve of the conference.
