LOS ANGELES--l.a. Eyeworks bows the Color Forms series of titanium and plastic combination frames.

“We love to celebrate the materials and here we push the boundaries by giving the plastic plenty of width and room to shine and show off,” said designer Gai Gherardi.

l.a. Eyeworks’ Color Forms grouping features the Surenot, a rectangular plastic ringed in titanium.

The series, which include the Sontag, Surenot and Say, highlights the luminous qualities of the plastic, ringed by the titanium. The Sontag is rounded and smaller in shape in the new grouping and retains a bit of irony. The Surenot is a hip rectangle, while the Say makes a graphic statement.

The designers have vibrantly colored the metal rim, plastic insert, and plastic temples, using intense hues like a vivid green plastic paired against a bold purple chassis. A two-toned Mint Candy coloration shows opaque green atop translucent pink within the khaki green titanium.

The frames are priced to the dispenser at $115. --Caletha Crawford
