ST. LOUIS—The International Library, Archives and Museum of Optometry (ILAMO) is celebrating its 100th year of service in 2008. Located at the St. Louis office of the American Optometric Association (AOA), ILAMO is part of Optometry's Charity, the AOA Foundation.

To commemorate the event, the foundation is planning a dessert reception and mini-casino event following the opening reception at Optometry’s Meeting in Seattle in June. The foundation will also issue a commemorative booklet detailing the history of ILAMO and the many services the library offers. The entire optometric community is being asked to take a congratulatory advertisement or listing in the booklet. For further information, call Ellen Dickman, ILAMO librarian, at (800) 365-2219 ext. 4117.

ILAMO, an information resource center supports the lifelong learning of optometrists and the development of the optometric profession.
