PORT WASHINGTON, N.Y. - Twelve distinct new Ray-Ban Rx designs are being introduced by Luxottica. All blend wearability with comfort and styling.

There are four plastic models and eight metals, with the rectangle featured as the dominant shape throughout the collection. Double and triple laminates include such colors as a red and purple color block combination and a triple laminate blend of brown, blue and purple.

Attention is given to temple. Even the most simple styles such as advertised model RX 5076 features a contoured wide temple that appears molded to fronts, creating a sculptured look. The split metal temples of RX 5091 offer a strikingly modern contrast to the frame’s rather traditional rectangular plastic fronts.

For those Ray-Ban aficianados who like their ophthalmics and sunwear combined in one outstanding style, five new men’s clip-on designs debut, featured in shapes that range from a classic oval to an angled rectangle to a more aggressive geometric, all offered in traditional metal tones of bronze, black and silver.

Luxottica’s Vittorio Verdun, vice president of marketing said, “The RX collection, like its sunwear counterpart, builds on its classic heritage, embodying a unique lifestyle and a strong sense of individuality.”

Prices of the new Ray-Ban ophthalmic styles range from $54.95 to $79.95 to the dispenser.
