Often lauded in song, this edition of Bold Face is all about the special brand of lady that calls the West Coast home. Full of sunshine and beautiful people, one must possess exceptional eyewear to survive in the Golden State and this week’s three women most certainly do…

Lisa Vanderpump stars in Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and Vanderpump Rules, a show about her and the staff of one of her hotspot L.A. restaurants, SUR. Though she wears many hats – TV personality, actress, philanthropist, restaurateur and author – she recently added a new job to the list as a cast member on Season 16 of ABC’s Dancing with the Stars. The “Housewife” is paired with professional partner, Gleb Savchenko. In her first week, the duo performed a fox trot and she fared pretty well earning a respectable total of 18 (out of 30) points. Always glamorous and known for liking the finer things, the “Golden State” resident wears the Chloé CE600S sun style from Marchon

A Cali girl through and through, Gwen Stefani was born and raised in Fullerton, Calif. A founding member of Southern California rock band No Doubt, when not out on tour Stefani makes her home in Van Nuys, Calif. After a looong hiatus, No Doubt released their sixth studio album in 2012, Push and Shove. Apparently, while touring in support of the album, Stefani, the band’s primary songwriter, was inspired to write even more music and the band has spent most of early 2013 in the recording studio. Luckily, it looks like fans won’t have to wait another decade between albums. Despite long hours in the studio, Stefani still makes time for her family; she was recently snapped out in Beverly Hills with her kids and husband, Bush’s Gavin Rossdale, wearing the Tom Ford FT5147 glasses from Marcolin

Katy Perry was born and raised in Santa Barbara, Calif. In fact she loves her home state so much she went on to write a song about it, or rather the girls native to it, on her second album Teenage Dream named, you guessed it, “California Gurls.” That album spawned five number-one hits on the Billboard Hot 100, the first album in history recorded by a female artist to do that. In support of the album, she embarked on the California Dreams Tour, a hyper, bright, upbeat confection of a tour. Perry, who is back in the studio working on her next album, has stated that she is altering her musical style for this album which she branded "dark." The album is planned for release this summer. Perry still finds time to do a little socializing while she records; she was photographed wearing the Tommy Hilfiger TH1187S sunglasses from Safilo at the Tommy Hilfiger West Coast flagship opening after party on Feb. 13.
