NEW YORK—Attendees to the upcoming Vision Expo East (March 14 to 17), should be advised that the New York City Half Marathon will take place on Sunday, March 17, from 6:45 am - 12:00 pm. According to show organizers, attendees can expect street closures and delays in the vicinity of the Javits Center and should allow a minimum of 45 minutes to get to the convention center on Sunday.

In anticipation of delays, the Continuing Education program will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday. The later start is to give attendees more time to get to the Javits Center. The exhibit hall will open at its regular time of 9:30 a.m.

Onsite, Marathon Ambassadors will be available starting Saturday afternoon to answer any questions guests may have. Additionally, Marathon Ambassadors will be stationed at hotels impacted by the half marathon on Sunday morning.

International Vision Expo has prepared a thorough transportation plan to help visitors get to the show. Visit visionexpoeast.com/marathon for a complete list of affected hotels, luggage transportation services, public transportation options and alternate driving routes.
