President Clinton with SoloHealth’s Bart Foster.
ATLANTA— SoloHealth, a consumer-driven health care technology company, announced it has made a $1 million pledge to the William J. Clinton Foundation’s 2013 Clinton Health Matters Initiative (CHMI).

SoloHealth joins other health care industry leaders, including GE, Humana and Tenet Healthcare Corporation, in a pledge to improve the health and well-being of people across the U.S. by activating individuals, communities, and organizations to make meaningful contributions to the health of others. SoloHealth has committed to build and distribute a tobacco cessation educational module across its nationwide health and wellness consumer kiosk called the SoloHealth Station.

The announcement comes following the close of last Tuesday’s 2013 Health Matters: Activating Wellness in Every Generation Conference, hosted by President Bill Clinton, which took place in La Quinta, Calif., and included numerous participants including SoloHealth CEO & founder Bart Foster. Pledges announced at the 2013 Health Matters Conference total more than $100 million in investments in disease prevention and will positively impact more than 25 million people across the U.S.

“We are absolutely thrilled and honored to work with President Clinton and his foundation for this most noble and inspiring initiative,” said Foster. “As leaders in the health care space, we have the responsibility to tackle the issues that lead towards making our world healthier. We look forward to rolling out our smoking-cessation program and our ongoing efforts with the Foundation and its Clinton Health Matters Initiative.”

SoloHealth pledges to use its award-winning SoloHealth Station to tackle tobacco usage through a tobacco-cessation module within their kiosk. Its SoloHealth Stations are health care access points for consumers providing screenings for vision, blood pressure, weight, and body mass index, a symptom checker as well as an overall health assessment. SoloHealth also connects consumers to local professionals through their databases. Kiosks are currently located in more than 1,400 retail locations nationwide, expanding to more than 2,500 store locations by mid-2013 and 4,000 by 2014.
