COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo.—Yesterday Essilor USA, a division of Essilor International, (ESSI.PA) announced a series of consumer advertising initiatives for 2013 during their national sales meeting being held here this week. The campaigns will use TV, with focus on cable, radio both traditional and online, consumer magazines, digital, PR and social media plus in-office POP, according to Sharee Rajan, associate director, Crizal.

In 2013, Essilor will launch a national consumer advertising campaign to support the new XPerio UV brand. The ad campaign will kick off on air beginning Feb. 11.

On Jan. 14, the Crizal ad campaign will begin on air followed by a new Crizal campaign starting in the spring with new messaging that emphasizes clarity of vision and eye health. A Varilux consumer advertising pilot ad campaign is planned for the second half of 2013.

Essilor executives did not announce how much money was being spent on the ad initiatives for 2013.
