BOULDER, Colo.—Zeal Optics’ Transcend GPS SPPX has claimed one of Outside magazine’s eight Radical Design Awards. The ski goggles, which are part of Zeal’s Transcend line, feature a GPS-powered digital display embedded in polarized, photochromic lens.

Despite the goggle’s exotic design, Joe Prebich, director of marketing for the Boulder-based sunglass maker, described the GPS SPPX as “… not just something that is for a guy like James Bond” but also for “the everyday skier or snowboarder that looks to get more out of the products they support." He added that the goggle “works with the user, and helps them to get more out of their day on the mountain.”
