FAIRFAX, Va.—The Optical Laboratories Association (OLA) announced that it will induct seven members into its Hall of Fame for 2007. The 2007 Hall of Fame Honorees are David A. Beach, James P. Dougher, John L. Enright, Ronald Ray Steffey, Amos “Tex” Williams and Billy A. West (posthumously).

The seven industry veterans will be honored at the eighth annual OLA Hall of Fame Banquet, to be held on Nov.  15, 2007 in Indianapolis, Ind. This year, the Hall of Fame dinner is on the first night of annual OLA meeting, rather than on the eve of the meeting, as in previous years.

“This event kicks off  The OLA 2007 and is an opportunity for all labs and suppliers to join together to celebrate the heritage of the optical lab industry,” said Edward A. Dietz, III, of Dietz Laboratories and president of OLA.

OLA began the Optical Pioneers in 2000, for the purpose of “recognizing the contributions of those who participated in the establishment of the wholesale optical industry in its founding years.”

Information about the banquet is available from OLA at (800) 477-5652.
