Roanoke, Va.—PixelOptics, Inc., developer of the world’s first electronic focusing eyewear, emPower!, has named Brietta Cunningham as Product Manager. Cunningham will be responsible for coordinating company-wide efforts to successfully bring emPower! to market, supporting PixelOptics in defining a vision for emPower! that reflects the company’s overall corporate strategy and goals for the product, according to an announcement from the company.

PixelOptics is finalizing plans to introduce emPower! in the U.S. through a regional rollout in early 2011. Cunningham will lead cross-functional teams to facilitate the launch of the product through key distribution channels beginning in North America, gathering and prioritizing product and customer requirements, and developing the messaging for emPower!

Prior to joining PixelOptics, Cunningham held several positions with Essilor of America, most recently as the manager of Regional Marketing where she developed a new process to drive sales, generating significant new revenue for the company.

Cunningham holds a Global MBA from the University of Texas at Dallas.
