SOMERVILLE, N.J.--Viva International Group has launched the Gant Rugger Eyewear Collection for men age 20 to 40.

“We’re proud to share in Gant Rugger’s resurgence with a collection that remains true to the brand’s core values,” said Elizabeth Tontodonati, general manager of Gant at Viva. “We’re confident that the men’s market is ready for the Rugger look, especially with the success of the apparel line now available at the new Gant Rugger store in NYC.”

Originally launched in the ’70s, Rugger apparel transformed the classic Rugby shirt into an everyday wardrobe essential. Now revived, the essence of the brand has been infused into the overall design of the eyewear collection which consists of 12 optical styles featuring a mix of modern and vintage styling.

Inspired by American sportswear classics, each style features the iconic “G” logo, which has defined the Rugger brand from the beginning. Styles range from small, vintage-inspired metals, like the Bourem and Adelphi, to the fashion-forward color usage seen on the Gates. Round retro plastics, like the Cypress, Adams and Utica and the scrolling-patterned bridge and temple details on the Remy and Rumsey are key attributes.
