ST. LOUIS—Refractive surgery firm TLCVision (Nasdaq: TLCV) saw its total revenues fall to $58.5 million, down 21 percent, in this year’s second quarter.

Refractive-center revenues were off by 31 percent in the period, to $27 million. Procedure volumes in the firm’s company-owned refractive centers fell 29 percent in the quarter.

The company posted a net loss of $6.9 million in Q2, vs. a $2.2 million loss in the same period last year.

In 2009’s first six months, TLCVision had total revenues of $127.9 million, down 22 percent. Refractive revenues fell 36 percent, to $63 million; procedure volumes were off by 35 percent.

The company’s net loss in the first half was $8.2 million, compared to net income of $3.9 million in the first six months of 2008.
