Luxottica relaunches its Brooks Brothers line for Spring/Summer 2007. The new collection of 14
ophthalmic frames and seven sunglasses feature vintage-inspired styles with a modern edge.
Shapes include reinterpretations of classic aviator, rectangular and preppie designs. Some styles
have keyhole bridges to enhance the vintage appeal. Colors range from gunmetal, black and
coffee tones in the frame fronts combined with striking red, green and brown horn temples to
double laminates and havanas. Contemporary details such as spring and monoblock hinges,
new temple hardware and flat titanium materials update retro styles for a new generation.
PHILOSOPHY: “We were
challenged with the task
of redefining the Brooks
Brothers eyewear collection
while maintaining the
heritage of the brand,” says
Vittorio Verdun, Luxottica
vice president of marketing.
“We have created a
collection comprised of
a combination of classic,
modern and vintage
styling.”
