Though still basically a smart-choice niche, Sport Eyewear is increasingly everywhere when it comes to choosing sides for eyecare professional dispensers. Close to 95 percent of independent optical locations dispensing eyeglasses also dispense some type of sport eyewear for consumers looking for the expertise that an eyecare pro can deliver above and beyond sport and specialty locations. And this number has grown significantly from 90 percent last year, and 86 percent the year before that, according to this most recent Jobson Optical Research report conducted exclusively for 20/20. This study was conducted in March 2014 as a follow-up MarketPulse study for 20/20, surveying 220 respondents at independent optical locations. Make your patients aware of the benefits of sport eyewear, especially as the weather gets warmer, and they become more active. Encourage them to protect their eyes and experience enhanced vision while they participate in a variety of both team and individualized activities. Presented here are the metrics and convincing data noting how independent eyecare pros engage in buying and selling sport eyewear. Don’t miss this powerful opSPORTunity…
