1 MARCOLIN GROUP and Moendi, one of the largest independent distributors in Mexico, have signed a joint venture agreement. The JV, named Marcolin Mexico, is 51 percent owned by Marcolin Group, and its headquarters will be based in Naucalpan in the State of Mexico.

2  KERING EYEWEAR and Balenciaga have announced their partnership for the development, production and worldwide distribution of Balenciaga sunglasses and prescription frames.

3  SILHOUETTE INTERNATIONAL has announced the appointment of Onofrio “Mike” Giannattasio as president of its United States subsidiary.

4  EYE DESIGNS GROUP has launched its new website, eyedesigns.com, which offers quick access to information on all Eye Designs Group display collections, merchandising systems, processes, services and accessories.

5  LUZERNE OPTICAL LABORATORIES will now distribute Swissflex products. Luzerne Optical is engaged in the design, manufacture and distribution of spectacle lenses and is now certified to edge and mount Swissflex eyewear in the U.S.

6 L’AMY AMERICA has announced that its holiday charity program, “Help the World to See a Better Tomorrow, Today,” resulted in thousands of frames that were donated to those in need through various charities including VOSH International.

7  THELIOS, a joint venture between LVMH and Marcolin, has announced that its new Italian production site, the Manifattura Thelios, was inaugurated and is now dedicated to the production of eyewear for the brand maisons belonging to the LVMH group.
