1 THELIOS is joining forces
with acetate sheet manufacturer Mazzucchelli 1849 and with
specialty materials provider Eastman, a pioneer in molecular recycling, to push forward
sustainable innovation in the
eyewear industry.
2 ESSILORLUXOTTICA and CooperCompanies have entered into
an agreement to create a 50/50 joint venture for the acquisition of SightGlass Vision, a U.S. based life sciences company focused on
developing innovative spectacle lenses to reduce the progression of myopia in children.
3 VISION EXPO EAST 2021,
originally scheduled to take place at
the Javits Center in New York City from May 25 to 28, will now take place at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla., from June 2 to 5.

6 SMITH has announced its new global partnership with the AG2R CITROEN Team as the official supplier of performance eyewear for
the 2021-22 seasons.
7 THE VISION COUNCIL has raised more than $150,000 for the Open Your Eyes Scholarship Program through a virtual auction, company pledges and individual donations.
8 EYEWEAR DESIGNS LTD., has launched its new website with
the ability to order online at eyeweardesigns.com.
9 ESSILOR OF AMERICA and LUXOTTICA NORTH AMERICA have each donated $50,000 to Essilor Vision Foundation (EVF) in 2020, to help people in need get essential vision care.
10 MYKITA has opened its MYKITA Madison Avenue shop on the
Upper East Side of New York City.
