The second part of its “Meet the New Generation” campaign features a reinvention of the iconic 649 Series, a style deeply rooted in cinematic history and worn by the most relevant actors and directors from around the world. Starring in the campaign is musician, painter, racing driver and model Vincent Gallo, who takes on a leading role both in front of and behind the camera. Making its initial debut in 2016 featuring Scott Eastwood, the Meet the New Generation campaign celebrates the groundbreaking and classic design of the 649 Series. Gallo displays his creative guises and effortless style in the new campaign, showcasing the candid energy and the bold new update of the 649 Series using lightweight metal. From experimental short films to his work as a painter in the early stages of his career, Gallo has proven to be a self-ruling artist. Taking on small roles in blockbuster hits such as “Goodfellas” and “Arizona Dream,” Gallo has avoided Hollywood in favor of his own independent projects, writing, starring in and directing cult movies “Buffalo ’66” and “The Brown Bunny.” The creative process is never at rest for Gallo and Persol, making them a match made in campaign heaven.
